Are you a therapist, counselor, life coach or other mental health professional looking to forge deeper, more meaningful relationships with your clients? In this workshop led by Jimmy Carrane, one of the country’s leading improv teachers, you will learn how to apply the basic tenets of improvisation to individual and group therapy. One of Jimmy’s core teachings is that we can learn to read other people’s emotions without hearing them utter a single word. By learning how to develop this unspoken connection, you will be able to listen and understand your clients on a much deeper level. Through a series of interactive games and exercises, you will learn how to get out of your head and toss out your own agenda to be more in the moment, be more adaptable to what emotions and issues your client is bringing to you, and bring a sense of playfulness into your work.
THIS WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 14 PEOPLE.
