Advanced Two-Person Scene Tune-Up — Saturday, June 1, 2019
Are you a seasoned improviser stuck in your comfort zone, doing the same kind of scenes over and over again? Are you looking for feedback on your strengths and weaknesses to help you improve?
Doing solid two-person scenes is the foundation of most long forms, and it’s a great skill to work on if you’re feeling rusty in your improv or would like your work to go emotionally deeper in your scene work.
In this advanced-level workshop, we will work on truly connecting with your partner and making strong choices to do some of your most inspired scene work yet. And Jimmy will observe your work to find out what you are doing well and help you find your blind spots so you can be more connected, memorable and yes, funny.
We will conclude this workshop by running a couple of long forms that incorporate two-person scenes, giving your the opportunity to get a lot of reps in.
Because this is an advanced-level workshop we will only warm up briefly and get right to scene work.
THIS WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 12 PEOPLE. If you have not worked with Jimmy before, you will need instructor’s approval. Please email him at email@example.com.
June 1, 2019, 1-4 p.m. at Stage 773 (1225 W. Belmont, Chicago)
Once you register there are no refunds or transfers for this workshop.
