Two Person Scene Tune Up Workshop

The Art of Slow Comedy classes were named in Chicago Magazine’s “5 Great Comedy Classes for Fall 2015!”

Two-Person Scene Tune-Up

Saturday, July 31, 2021

Are you a seasoned improviser stuck in your comfort zone, doing the same kind of scenes over and over again? Are you looking for feedback on your strengths and weaknesses to help you improve?

Doing solid two-person scenes is the foundation of most long forms, and it’s a great skill to work on if you’re feeling rusty in your improv or would like your work to go emotionally deeper in your scene work.

In this workshop, we will work on truly connecting with your partner and making strong choices to do some of your most inspired scene work yet. And Jimmy will observe your work to find out what you are doing well and help you find your blind spots so you can be more connected, memorable and yes, funny.

We will conclude this workshop by running a couple of long forms that incorporate two-person scenes, giving your the opportunity to get a lot of reps in.

Saturday, July 31, 2021, 1-4 p.m. Central Time

At Green Shirt Studio, 4001 N. Ravenswood, Unit 303B, Chicago, IL
Only $89 if you register by July 17. ($99 after)

Note: Once you register there are no refunds or transfers for this workshop.

What past students are saying:

“Some people are just born to be teachers, they’ve got that gift. Jimmy has that gift. I’m so grateful to him, and I recommend him to everybody I know… certainly anyone interested in improv, but also actors not interested in improv, and people not interested in acting!”
Mary Redman

“Jimmy is a fantastic improv teacher! I have taken many of his classes, some multiple times, and every time I learn something new! I couldn’t recommend The Art of Slow Comedy more!”
Brian Morrow
